April 12 : Asthma Walk for American Lung Association
Due to the dedication of the Beam Foundation volunteers, community members, and friends and family of Pegasus Logistics Group, The Annual Blow the Whistle on Asthma Walk was a huge success. The Beam Foundation had a record number of walkers this year!!! Over 100 people showed up to walk on behalf of the Beam Foundation. A special THANKS to everyone who participated in making this event such a huge success.
April 6 : JJJP DAY APRIL EVENT: Putt Putt Golf with Jonathan's Place
On April 6, volunteers accompanied the kiddos from Jonathan's Place for a trip to Mountasia Golf and Games located in Plano, TX. Everyone enjoyed the beautiful weather, Putt-Putt and the fun games. Special thanks to the staff and management at Mountasia for their support and excellent customer service.
February 13: JJJP FEB EVENT : Valentine's Day Party
On Feb 13th, volunteers visited the Jonathan's Place cottages ready to get creative! The kids made Valentine' Day Card Boxes and nibble on some delicious goodies prepared and donated by our volunteers. The party was a hit and the kiddoes loved their Valentine's Day Card Boxes that they got to keep. A special thanks to all who donated supplies, goodies, and their time to make this event a success!!!

November 26-30 : The Beam Foundation Blanket Drive
The Beam Foundation is holding a Blanket Drive in combination with the GAP Program (Girls Awareness Program) at Trinity High School. The GAP Program is a program developed for at-risk teen girls aimed at providing the means for a successful academic and social experience throughout their high school career. This blanket drive will benefit The Presbyterian Night Shelter in Fort Worth, Texas. For more information about The Gap Program and its efforts, please contact Peggy McIntyre at 817-399-3640.
November 22, 2007 : Jonathan's Place Thanksgiving
Each year The Beam Foundation and its volunteers gather together to provide the at Jonathan's Place with a delicious Thanksgiving meal. Our volunteers donate, prepare, and eat with these children on this special day. Special thanks to The Honey Baked Ham Co. for their gracious donation of turkeys and Bar-B-Cutie for smoking them to perfection in advance!
December 25, 2007 : Jonathan's Place Christmas and Dinner
Each year The Beam Foundation donates toys and time to the children at Jonathan's Place. These kids have been through so much and are away from the only family that they have ever known on this anticipated holiday. The Beam Foundation provides the kids with presents and dinner. The volunteers gather and accept donation and sponsorships to help make this holiday into something full of fun memories instead of homesick worries. Special thanks to The Honey Baked Ham Co. for their gracious donation of hams to make this event a hit.
October 30, 2007 : Jonathan's Place Halloween Party
The Beam Foundation hosted its first Halloween Party at Jonathan's Place campus on October 30th. It was a huge success with volunteers from The Beam Foundation providing hot dogs, chips sodas and plenty of sweets for the kiddos to enjoy. After a beautiful outside picnic dinner, volunteers and kids took their creativity inside and decorated trick or treat bags together. The kiddos also made caramel apples that they enjoyed on Halloween Day! Special thanks to all of our amazing volunteers for their donations and all of the cute and fun Halloween costumes that were collected for the kids to enjoy!
