Every year the dedicated volunteers at The Beam Foundation host Christmas Dinner at JP. This event provides our volunteers the opportunity to share some Christmas cheer and great food with the kids at JP. “Spending time with these kids on this specific holiday brings such joy to my life.” –says one active JP volunteer. Special thanks to Hard 8 BBQ for providing the delectable ham and to our amazing volunteers for always being so willing to give anything they can to make a difference in the lives of others.

The Beam Foundation is honored to have the opportunity to host the very first Holiday in the Park for the Starlight Children’s Foundation’s Great Escapes program. Over 250 starlight participants were able to come out and experience Six Flags with their families. These events provide these families with a much needed break from the reality of terminal and chronic illnesses. We are so honored to have the opportunity host an event of this magnitude. Special thanks to all of our dedicated volunteers for helping to make this event a success.

Once again the amazing BF volunteers were able to bring a memorable Thanksgiving Dinner to the kiddos at Jonathan’s Place. The volunteers were not only able to spend some quality play time with the kids on this holiday; they were also able to have a specially prepared Thanksgiving meal with these wonderful children. Special thanks to Hard 8 BBQ for providing the delicious turkey and our volunteers for providing the spirit and the sides.

The Beam Foundation was excited to host our very first event at Legend Healthcare and Rehab Center, located in Euless, Texas. The volunteers, friends and family of The Beam Foundation came out in their fun costumes to bring some festive color to the residents at Legend. Special thanks to the Legend staff for helping us bring this fun event to the residents.

On October 5, The Beam Foundation hosted a Fall Festival for the kiddos at Jonathan’s Place. The dunking booth, human bowling, and bounce house were loads of fun. Not to mention all of the fun festival face painting, pumpkin patch painting, and yummy concessions. Special thanks for all of our dunking booth volunteers! We never miss the opportunity to dunk Mr. Beam; he’s such a good sport!

The Beam Foundation was excited to host our very first Volunteer Gimme Award Ceremony. This event was created to honor the dedicated individuals who devote their time to fullfilling our mission. Without these inviduals our successes would have been impossible. We are so grateful for each and every one of our talented volunteers and are so excited to host an event in their honor. The night started with a cocktail reception and led to a seated dinner by Tastfully Yours Catering. A hilarious slideshow was created by our very own MC and board member Barry Stephens with the help of the late Ed Kahaly who we unfortunately lost in December, 2008. Barry Stephens did an amazing job of annoucing our 2008 Gimme Award recipients.

The Beam Foundation volunteers and Jonathan’s Place kiddos had a blast playing laser tag at Mountasia Golf and Games! It was so rewarding to spend one on one time with the kids and give them a chance to relax and forget about their current situation. Special thanks to Mountasia management and staff for their kindness and customer service.

The Beam Foundation Operation Sparkle volunteers had an amazing time assisting The Starlight Children’s Foundation in their birthday party for the families of their foundation. It is so rewarding to see the smiles on all of the children’s faces and to receive the thank yous from the parents on a job well done. We are honored to be apart of this organization.
